Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and French President H.E. Mr. Emmanuel Macron addressed industry leaders at the India-France CEO Forum in Paris today, underscoring the growing economic partnership between the two nations. The forum brought together top executives from various sectors, reinforcing collaboration in trade, investment, and technology.
In his remarks, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the deep trust, innovation, and public welfare that define India-France relations. He noted that the bilateral partnership extends beyond the two nations, with joint efforts addressing global challenges. Following the 2047 roadmap outlined in his previous visit, India and France continue to expand cooperation across multiple sectors.
With many French companies already present in India across aerospace, defence, electronics, chemicals, and consumer goods, Prime Minister Modi invited further investment. He emphasized India's rapid economic growth, calling it a prime destination for global investors. "India is the world's fifth-largest economy and the fastest-growing major economy, set to become the third largest soon," he stated.
The Prime Minister highlighted key initiatives, including India’s AI, semiconductor, and quantum missions, along with the push for Make in India and Make for the World in defence manufacturing. He also pointed to advancements in space technology, the hydrogen and critical minerals mission, and India's commitment to achieving 500 GW of renewable energy by 2030.
Outlining recent economic reforms, Prime Minister Modi mentioned rationalization of over 40,000 compliances, new ease of doing business measures, a streamlined customs rate structure, and the introduction of "India Trade Net" to facilitate global trade. He urged French companies to explore emerging opportunities, particularly in infrastructure, nuclear energy, fintech, and healthcare.
Inviting greater French investment in India's future, Prime Minister Modi remarked, "When France's finesse meets India's scale, when India's pace joins France's precision, and when France's technology unites with India's talent, we will witness not just business growth, but global transformation."
The India-France CEO Forum reaffirmed the commitment of both nations to strengthen economic ties, drive innovation, and explore new frontiers of collaboration.
