During their discussion, PM Modi expressed his condolences for the loss of civilian lives, particularly at the al-Ahli hospital in Gaza. He assured President Abbas that India would provide humanitarian assistance to the people of Palestine. Additionally, the Prime Minister reiterated India's enduring and principled stance on the Israel-Palestine issue.
